Latest: South Cotswold Covid Vaccination Programme

Working together with GP surgeries across the South Cotswolds, we are well underway now in vaccinating our local patients against coronavirus as part of the biggest immunisation programme in NHS history.

We are working through our patient list in line with the national prioritisation guidance and will invite you to attend for a vaccination as soon as we are able to.

We have given a first vaccination to the majority of our patients aged over 75 as well as care home patients. We are currently working to vaccinate our housebound as well as those aged 70-74 or who are clinically extremely vulnerable – if you are in this group of people, we will be contacting you as soon as we are able to book you in for a vaccination so please wait for us to contact you.

You could be invited to an appointment with us by telephone, letter or text. If you are invited by text, we are using a new booking system which will enable patients to book their own Covid vaccination appointment via ‘Accubook’. The message will invite you to click a link and will offer appointment slots to choose from at Cirencester Hospital. The text will only ask patients to confirm their date of birth. Texts from the Practice will never ask for your bank details, password information or payment for the vaccination.

Please do not worry if you do not have a mobile or smartphone or do not respond in this way. We will be contacting any patients that do not respond or that do not have a mobile number on their record via phone or letter to book/confirm your appointment.

Please act on your invitation when it arrives and make sure to attend your appointment when you arrange it. Please also continue to follow the national guidance on social distancing and hand hygiene to control the virus and save lives.

If you have had your first vaccination we will be in touch to arrange a date for the second appointment when we have details of the arrangements, and this will be up to 12 weeks after the first vaccination.
